Substrate inspection

• Check for defects in the primer layer. If the primer layer has sunk, apply a second primer layer.
• Always make the surface dust- and moisture-free and smooth. Lightly sand and vacuum the floor. A vacuum cleaner is sufficient for EP-Rapid Primer.
• Recommended floor and ambient temperatures: 15-25°C
• Ideal installation temperature: 18-22°C.
• Find the coldest point of the floor. Measure the dew point here.µ
• The floor temperature must be >3°C above the dew point.
• Use a moisture meter to measure the % moisture of the floor.
• The surface must be ≤ 5% moisture.
• The ideal humidity is 40%-60%.

Conditions during placement

MIXING

• Dosage the A/B/C components, for processing within 10 minutes.
• Mix the A component before weighing.
• Weigh the B component according to the correct ratio.
• Mix the B component with the A component (1 min.) in the can.
• Pour the A/B mixture into a mixing bucket and then add the correct ratio of C component while stirring.
• Mix (2 min.) until you achieve a homogeneous result and all lumps have disappeared.
• Then pour the mixture as quickly as possible in several small puddles or in a long straight line over the floor.
• Spread the mixture with a toothed comb to a thickness of 1 to 1.5 mm.

APPLICATION

• If bubbles form in the primer, remove the bubbles and fill them with a sealant based on MS Polymer.
• Provide profiles or recesses for applying EP-Rapid Scratchcoat, to prevent EP-Rapid Scratchcoat from running away.
• Expansion joints must also be followed. Grind drain holes (1-3 cm) along the side, so that the scraping layer can flow in here.
• Always use masking tape. Remove this immediately after applying EP-Rapid Scratchcoat. Do the same with walls and windows.

Points of attention

• Seal all cracks and openings to prevent vermin from entering the scraping layer.
• Always work wet against wet to avoid unevenness. The connection should be made after 15 minutes at the latest.
• After use, immediately put the excess of the scraping layer outside. The temperatures rise in the pot and there is smoke development.
• Always use masking tape. Remove this immediately after applying EP-Rapid Scratchcoat.”

Cleaning

Clean used tools with Cleaner EP or acetone. Cured product residues must be removed mechanically.

Storage and preservation

Shelf life: 12 months in a closed and original container when stored in a dry and cool place (10-25°C).
