Tools

• primer/nylon roller
• drill with mixing spindle attachment
• gloves

Mixing

• Measure the moisture content of the substrate: max 5%
• make sure the floor is free of dust and grease and that any loose particles have been removed
• tape the edges to a sufficient height to prevent splashes
• Check you have sufficient A & B material (for consumption, see label)

Mix

• Combine the A and B component in the correct proportion (see label)
• mix for 2 minutes using a drill with mixing spindle attachment
• To obtain faster curing in thicker layers, 5% water can be added to mixture A+B after mixing.
  The water must be effectively mixed into the mixture to obtain the desired result.

Application: scatter

Pour the mixture onto the floor and spread evenly with a nylon roller, brush, window/floor squeegee

Application: remove excess sand

Depending on the system to be placed on top of the primer, +/-5 minutes after application you can scatter fire-dried sand

• for flat roll coatings, waterproofing membrane, scratch coat: do not scatter
• for mortar floors
  • • 0.1-0.3 mm or,
    • 0.4-0.8 mm
• For stone and marble carpet:
  • • 0.4-0.8 mm
• For anti-slip floor depending on desired effect:
  • • 0.4-0.8 mm ,or
    • 0.8-1.2 mm, or
    • carbodura 0.5-1.0 mm
• for Safedec Turbo: “completely and fully” scatter (i.e. until the primer is completely covered with sand and no more wet spots are visible) with:
  • • 0.4-0.8 mm, or
    • 0.8-1.2 mm

Clean tools

• Remove the excess sand after drying (+/- 2 hrs at 20°C

Cleaning tools

• Used rolls cannot be reused.
• Empty packaging: cured material or if scraped => construction waste, otherwise => chemical waste
• Clean mixing spindle attachment with acetone

Additional points of interest

• Note: work quickly because the product reacts very quickly.
• Note: mixed product reacts quickly in the bucket, becoming very hot and causing harmful fumes. Therefore it is recommended that the bucket be placed outside if it is not empty after 5 minutes.
