Coloured quartz 0.1-0.3 mm
Sidec coloured quartz 0.1-0.3 consists of washed, fire-dried and sieved sand of 0.1-0.3 mm. This sand has been rolled in a river bed over millions of years to give it its final rounded shape. To ensure quality and minimize dust or excess, the gravel is very carefully sieved. In addition, Sidec quartz is very pure and contains at least 98% SiO2. The relative hardness is 7 Mohs.
Sidec decorative sand is made with various organic and/or inorganic pigments coloured and is hot-coated with a UV-stable (non-discolouring) polyurethane resin. The coloured gravel will be more or less resistant to UV light depending on the chosen pigments. Sidec coloured quartz 0.1-0.3 is available in more than 4,000 different colours.
Sidec coloured sand can be used in all kinds of applications such as: synthetic floors and walls, aquariums, decorative applications, etc.
