Our Sidec'ers did like a slice of pizza, and we delivered!
Today is National Pizza Day, and we at Sidec don’t let that go unnoticed. To celebrate this glorious day, we had top notch pizzas delivered by our local Italian specialist Casa Fraquelli. Hereby some more interesting facts about pizza you probably didn’t know yet.
- More than 5 billion pizzas are sold worldwide every year
- Saturday night is the most popular night for eating pizza
- Pizza is ordered most often during the weather part of the news on television
- 36% of people consider pizza to be the perfect breakfast
- There are more than 11,000 Pizza Hut’s around the world
- About 36% of all orders want pepperoni as a pizza topping
- An average slice of cheese pizza contains about 270 to 370 calories
- Popular gourmet pizza toppings include chicken, oysters, crayfish, dandelions, Brussels sprouts, aubergine, artichoke hearts and tuna
- Contrary to what you might think, more pizza is eaten in Norway than in Italy, which only comes 5th, after the US, the UK and Germany.
