Marblecarpet Premium

The basis of this open structure marble carpet is formed by marble pebbles of 1-4 mm or 4-8 mm and a high-quality PU (polyurethane) binder. Although marble is much softer than the quartz used in a standard stone carpet, marble has the advantage that the grains inside have the same colour, so that any wear and tear will hardly be noticeable. Marble is a natural rock, which may result in greater colour deviations when compared to a standard stone carpet made from coloured stones.

This floor consists of 3 layers: primer – marble carpet – topcoat. The minimum installation height of this system is 8 mm or 12 mm depending on the chosen grain size. The choice of primer depends on the type of substrate. To make it easy for you, we have under

The PU binder used for this system is 100% UV resistant, which prevents discolouration and reserves the original colour at all times. This is especially important in outdoor applications and with large window areas, or light colors. Because not all pigments are uv-stable, you will find under the heading
downloads A list of colors tested for uv resistance. Although this system can be perfectly applied outdoors, this ultimate version has the advantage that it also greatly simplifies the cleanability of an open-structure marble carpet when applied indoors.

In fact, the Premium version comes with a beautiful glossy topcoat (a glossy varnish layer), which, thanks to its EASY-TO-CLEAN properties, ensures that dirt does not adhere to the marble carpet and any stains from coffee, wine,... are much easier to clean than with a standard marble carpet.

If you wish to apply the marble carpet ultimate outdoors, we recommend choosing the non-slip option of the EASY-TO-CLEAN topcoat.
