Stonecarpet Aquastop

The basis of this “open structure” decorative gravel floor is formed by colored quartz stones and a high-quality PU binder. The gravel grains of 2-3 mm or 3-4 mm are wrapped with a UV-resistant PU color coating. To optimize wear resistance, the coating process is done at high temperature.

This floor consists of 3 or 4 layers: primer – waterproofing layer – stone carpet – anti-slip topcoat. The minimum installation height of this system is 10 mm or 12 mm depending on the chosen grain size. The choice of primer depends on the type of substrate. To make it easy for you, we have added a document in Downloads below so you can easily see for yourself which primer is the most suitable for you.

Thanks to its waterproofing membrane, this is the ideal floor for places where waterproofing of the substrate is a requirement (such as balconies,...) to prevent damage, due to seepage moisture.

The PU binder used for this system is 100% UV resistant, which prevents discolouration and reserves the original colour at all times. Since not all pigments are uv-stable, under the downloads section you will find a list of colors, which have been tested for uv-resistance. The stone carpet Aquastop can be used indoors, but above all it is ideal for outdoor applicationssuch as terraces and balconies. Moreover, because the outdoor environment is often subject to very difficult to control elements (such as cats, dogs, birds, other people,...), we made sure that this system cures quickly.

In addition, you can optionally choose to finish the Stonecarpet Aquastop with an EASY-TO-CLEAN non-slip topcoat (varnish).
