Marblecarpet Aqua-stop

The basis of this “open structure” decorative gravel floor is formed by marble pebbles of 1-4 mm or 4-8 mm and a high-quality PU (polyurethane) binder. Although marble is much softer than the quartz used in a standard stone carpet, marble has the advantage that the grains inside have the same colour, so that any wear and tear will hardly be noticeable. Marble is a natural rock, which may result in greater colour deviations when compared to a standard stone carpet made from coloured stones.

This floor consists of 3 or 4 layers: primer – waterproofing layer – marble carpet – anti-slip topcoat (optional). The minimum installation height of this system is 10 mm or 14 mm depending on the chosen grain size. The choice of primer depends on the type of substrate. Thanks to its waterproofing membrane, this is the ideal floor for places where waterproofing of the substrate is a requirement (such as balconies,...) to prevent damage, due to seepage moisture.

The PU binder used for this system is 100% UV resistant, which prevents discolouration and reserves the original colour at all times. The Marblecarpet Aquastop can be used indoors, but above all, it is ideal for outdoor applicationssuch as patios and balconies. Moreover, because the outdoor environment is often subject to very difficult to control elements (such as cats, dogs, birds, other people,...), we made sure that this system cures quickly.

In addition, you can optionally choose to finish the Marblecarpet Aquastop with an EASY-TO-CLEAN non-slip topcoat (varnish).
